Terms
The deal
Tidings gathers what you follow into one calm edition and sends it where you read. Use it kindly, and we'll do our best to keep it running well. That's most of it; the rest is below, in plain words.
Last updated 3 October 2026.
Your account
One account per person, 16 or over, on an email address you can read. Sign-in links are keys to your account, so keep them to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
Fair use
Editions are for your own reading. Please don't:
- use Tidings to break the law or someone else's rights;
- send spam, or send editions to people who didn't ask for them;
- hammer the service, scrape it, or try to get into what isn't yours;
- resell editions or republish other people's writing from them.
If an account puts the service or other people at risk, we may pause or close it. Where we can, we'll tell you first and explain why.
Other people's writing
Most of what's in an edition belongs to the people who wrote it. Tidings fetches what they publish openly and formats it for you to read, with a link back to the original. If you own something that shows up in editions and want it out, write to [email protected] and we'll sort it out quickly.
Paying for Plus
Plus is coming soon. When it's here:
- Paddle sells Plus for us. It's the seller on your receipt and takes the payment, so its buyer terms cover the sale too.
- Change your mind within 14 days of paying and you get a full refund, no questions asked.
- Cancel any time. Plus keeps working to the end of the period you've paid for, then your account goes back to Free.
- Prices are shown before you pay, and if they ever change, we'll tell you before your next payment.
If things go wrong
We work hard to get every edition out on time, but feeds break, services go down and mail gets lost, so we can't promise Tidings will always be perfect or always be there. We're not liable for losses from a late, missing or wrong edition, as far as the law allows. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Leaving
You can delete your account any time in Settings, and everything goes with it. If we ever decide to shut Tidings down, we'll give you plenty of notice and refund any time you've paid for and won't get.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
